Great blog! In all my years of living in Dutchtown and Bevo, I always walked the dog in Carondelet because there are so many interesting things to see. Now I live at Michigan and Haven and recognized several of the neighbors' houses in your blog. I always wondered about that last house myself - it seems to me that 10 years or so ago there was a clock hanging visible in the window... or maybe I saw a ghost.

Thanks Mark for this wonderful Blog! I am a proud St. Louisian since 2001(By way Crystal City, MO) and I am looking to move into the Carondelet neighborhood in and/or around the Dover/Bellerive area from a bungalow in the Tower Grove East neighborhood. This information has made me even more determined to get a house in this area! Thanks again!

^that park is just south of Bellerive. I did miss that park as it must be east of Broadway on Elwood Street. I was on a scooter and the rr tracks are brutal near the river.

Thanks again for another great post. I learned a lot of new info.

You missed Sister Marie Charles Park! Despite being a RFT award winner for best public sex, it is the best South Side access to see the river and barges.

I remember when it opened I was in High School, we used to go there to drink. lol But it is a cool spot.
