St. Louis Microbrewery Tour - Earthbound Beer

We are visiting every St. Louis microbrewery to help highlight the variety, quality and fine spaces we have to enjoy a fresh beer in our fair city.

We stopped at Earthbound Beer. at 2724 Cherokee Street in the Gravois Park Neighborhood.

This brewery is located in one of the most vibrant and exciting parts of our city. I love Cherokee Street and Earthbound seems to be a perfect complement to the vibe.

The building has a long brewing history. Dating back to the 1860s, this building has been in the beer game for over 150 years.

They offer tours, which I highly recommend. It is worth every penny and minute spent. The owners are down to Earth and kind. They have a contagious sense of optimism and DIY mentality.

Read all about it in a 2015 article by local beer historian Chris Naffziger in St. Louis Magazine.

I love this place. The interior build out is unique and exposes the awesome curved ceilings that one held barrels for aging.

There is pinball machine and good food. A great outdoor space with a walk-up window allows you to hear the sounds and smells of the neighborhood.

The beer is original and varied and fresh as it gets.

St. Louis undoubtedly has one of the richest brewing histories of any American city. Earthbound is part of that tradition.

Please do yourself a favor and take the tour and hear the stories and what it took to bring this place back to life. Ask the owner about hiring neighborhood kids to wheelbarrow out the mud to expose the caves.

Earthbound gets solid distribution and can be purchased all over town.
