St. Louis Microbrewery Tour - Bluewood Brewing

We are visiting every St. Louis microbrewery to help highlight the variety, quality and fine spaces we have to enjoy a fresh beer in our fair city.

We stopped at Bluewood Brewing, 1821 Cherokee Street in the Marine Villa Neighborhood.

This wonderful brewery is in the former Lemp Stables or Corner Gates building. Per city records, it was built in 1892.

You can enter on Cherokee Street into the open air and incredibly cool patio space.

The building is amazing, truly “St. Louis” in look and feel. The place is cool and is a true local gem.

There is a small stage that brings in the sounds of the city and provides a great place to rest and relax. They have fun events scheduled to keep it fun.

Between the fresh, delicious beer, the local crowd and the kind barkeep from San Antonio, TX, I am a new fan. I’ll be here again, and recommend it to all. It had a neighborhood vibe.

There is takeout if you live in the neighborhood or want to take some home after a visit. They have an offering called Bananas and Blow, which may or may not be a nod to Ween.

The bar and dining room are spacious yet homey.

Need a snack? There are offerings from B. McArthur’s Taco Shack.

This place was a lot of fun.
